Chelsea striker Mikael Forssell has said he wants to stay at Borussia Monchengladbach when his loan deal expires.

Forssell, 22, was sent to Germany to get first team football after spending a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury. However, since the emergence of Carlton Cole, he could be fourth choice striker at StamfordBridge.

“I do not want to go back to London, I want to stay here”, says the Finn, who has settled in Germany.

Both the club and fans want to keep him at the club. Fans have even been holding collections at home matches to raise money to keep him.

If Forssell does decide to leave Chelsea, Roma may try to poach him from the Germans.

Coach Fabio Capello is reportedly a fan of the young striker and has had him scouted. He still has two years left on his Chelsea contract.
