Ryan Giggs has played down talk of a move to Internazionale by insisting he wants to stay at Manchester United.

The Welsh winger was lined with a move to Inter earlier this week when the Serie A club’s president Massimo Moratti, confirmed that Giggs was their number one transfer target.

However the the 29-year-old, who has spent his entire career at United, admits he would like to stay at Old Trafford.

“I am happy at Manchester United and I want to stay,’ Giggs confirmed.

“When you are not playing so well, things like this can happen and you start to get linked to other clubs.

“If I start talking about that it only adds fuel to the speculation. But I know I want to stay at the club.”

‘I know some fans have not beenn happy annd that’s OK becausethey pay their money to see me perform and II have not been playing as wel as I could. But I;ve been working hard and hopefully things have turned round now.’
