Tottenham appear to have won the race to sign Monaco forward Eidur Gudjohnsen, according to reports.
The Icelandic striker, who had been a target of West Ham, will move to White Hart Lane on loan until the end of the season.
Gudjohnsen is reported to have undergone a medical at Upton Park and so the Hammers were unhappy when it emerged earlier this week that Tottenham were tipped to sign him
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp was quoted as saying in Thursday’s newspapers that he had offered identical terms to West Ham and that the Iceland international was deciding on his choice of clubs.
Gudjohnsen plumped for Spurs and will help the club’s push Champions League spot.
