Celtic goalkeeper Magnus Hedman has agreed to join Italian side Ancona on loan until the end of the season.
The Swedish international has played 19 games for Celtic this season, but Hedman hasn’t featured since the 3-2 defeat to Lyon on 10 December. Robert Douglas, previously Hedman’s understudy at Celtic Park, is now regarded as Celtic’s no.1.
“Magnus wanted to go on loan because he felt that his chances of first team football may have been limited at the moment,” Celtic manager Martin O’Neill told the club’s website.

“After due consideration, I agreed to the loan.”
