Thierry Henry is set to miss Arsenal’s opening Champions League match through injury.

The France international suffered the injury to his foot in a training session on Tuesday morning ahead of Wednesday’s match against Hamburg.

The news will come as a blow to coach Arsene Wenger, who is looking to the Champions League to kick-start the club’s season after a poor start to their domestic campaign.

Without Henry, Wenger is expected to turn to Robin van Persie and Emanuel Adebayor, with teenager Theo Walcott likely to start the game on the bench.
