Guus Hiddink is confident his PSV Eindhoven side can overturn a two-goal deficit in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Milan on Wednesday.

PSV were unfortunate to leave the San Siro with a 2-0 defeat after coming close on a number of occasions to breaching the previously impregnable Milan defence.

“Immediately after the match in Italy it was obvious that my team were eager to repair the damage, but we have to be realistic and face the fact that Milan have done such a job more often,” Hiddink stated.

“We will try to dominate the match from the beginning like we did last week in the second half but we will not go for broke from the first minute.”

PSV captain Mark van Bommel has not given up hope of causing an upset.

“We know we can play very well against such good opponents,” said Van Bommel.

“We proved that last week and have to do it again. We will play our game and then hope that they have to adjust to us.”
