Hiddinkagrees two-year deal with PSV

Guus Hiddink has agreed a two-year contract with Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.

‘Guus Hiddink has given a definitive answer and will coach the club’s first team for the next two seasons,” PSV Eindhoven said in a statement on Monday.

Hiddink who led South Korea to a semi-final spot at the World Cup finals returns to the club he managed between 1986 and 1990.

“When I arrived in Eindhoven, I immediately felt at home again,” said the former South Korea coach.

“We have to discuss small things and after that I’ll go on vacation.”

“It’s good to be back and to work with a warm and ambitious club. Those were the most important reasons for me to come back,” Hiddink added. “I’m a happy coach.”

The club’s president Harry van Raaij was delighted with the appointment.

“You see before you a particularly proud PSV president because we have managed to get Guus Hiddink back to where he started his very successful career,” Van Raaij told reporters.
