Internazionale owner Massimo Moratti has played down reports linking the club with Thierry Henry as “speculation”.
Sources in Italy have recently claimed that Inter are preparing a move for the Arsenal skipper who has been linked with a switch to Barcelona.
However, Moratti has played down the speculation.
“For the time being it’s only speculation,” he told Inter’s official website.
“Of course, I like Henry, I don’t think anyone would respond differently to this question.
Club president Giacinto Facchetti also refused to be drawn on claims that Ronaldo would be returning to the club.
“At this important moment of the season, I only want to talk about players that are already at Inter and hope they all produce their best form,” Facchetti stated when asked about the Real Madrid striker.
“I don’t want to talk about those that are not here or those that wanted to leave the club.
“It’s clear that when you talk about Ronaldo, anything could be said.
“But right now the most important thing is that we concentrate on the two months of the season we have left and on the players we already have.”
