Artem Kantsavy put the Belarussian team ahead in the 74th minute, leaving the German side with a real battle on their away leg to stand any chance of progressing to the next round.

VfB Stuttgart, the second Bundesliga side in the Cup, ran out comfortable 2-0 winners against Lokeren. Goals from Jochen Seitz and Sean Dundee, set the German side up well for the away leg in Belgium.
