Japan have named their 23-man squad for the World Cup finals.
Coach Takeshi Okada has named four European-based players in his squad.
Keisuke Honda of CKSA Moscow, Grenoble’s Daisuke Matsui and Makoto Hasebe of Wolfsburg and Catania star Takayuki Morimoto have all made it.
One surprise inclusion was veteran goalkeeper Yoshi Kawaguchi, who is expected to be number three keeper for the finals.
Japan’s opening group game is against Cameroon on June 19th in Durban.
