Milan’s Brazilian playmaker Kaka has dismissed reports that coach Carlo Ancelotti was on the verge of getting sacked if the club had not made it through to the knockout stage of the Champions League.
“I have never said that the coach would have left if Milan had not qualified,” he insisted.
“The situation was always clear for us. We had to win what was a very important game.
“There was a possibility that we could be eliminated, so there was a bit of pressure and fear, but nothing else.
“The win has been important for everyone at the club, and of course the club includes Ancelotti, so it has been good for him too.”
