Lazio will make a decision on their new coach by the end of this week, according to new president Claudio Lotito.
The Romans have been forced to look for a new manager after reluctantly agreeing to let former coach Roberto Mancini leave for Inter. Former manager Dino Zoff is one of the favourites to take over team affairs.
Lotito is moving quickly to establish a new boss for the side, having only taken control of Lazio on Tuesday night.
“Within 48 hours we will decide who will be the new Lazio coach and all the details of the new club. All the problems that have not been solved will be sorted in about two days,” he said.
Sorting out the club’s finances is likely to preclude any new signings, with Lotito keen to steady the ship.
“At this stage we must look to consolidate rather than expand, we are only at the beginning of a very complicated situation,” added the president.
