The agent of Sergio Floccari insists the striker has signed for Lazio although the club will not make a formal announcement until later on Tuesday.
The former Genoa player has joined the Biancocelesti on loan for six months with a view to a permanent move with a fee reported to be in the region of £9.5million.
“Sergio has signed for Lazio,” his agent, Renzo Contratto, told calciomercato.it. “Every difficulty was overcome.”
However Lazio president Claudio Lotito refused to confirm the signing until after all the paperwork had been finalised.
“The contracts are valid only when they are deposited,” he told Ansa.
Floccari’s arrival was said by some to herald the departure of Julio Cruz, but the forward’s agent insists otherwise.
“There isn’t any case,” Jorge Cysterpiller told calciomercato.it. “Cruz has recovered from backache and has a contract at Lazio and doesn’t want to leave Rome,”
