With the flair of Brazil, World Cup holders Italy and the number one ranked side on the globe Spain in attendance, the Confederations Cup is a must-see tournament – Starts 14th June.

Italy coach Marcello Lippi has admitted he was left ‘impressed’ by Spain’s comfortable 5-0 win over New Zealand in their opening Confederations Cup match on Sunday.

However, the World Cup-winning coach, who will lead his side out later tonight against the USA, is unconcerned by Italy’s position as underdogs to win the tournament.

“The Spain side I saw yesterday impressed me plenty, but they have been like that for a year now,” Lippi told Rai Sport.

“I am not interested in terms of not being the favourites. Being favourite doesn’t mean a thing. It’s about arriving in good form at the right time.”

Italy clash with the USA later tonight in their Group B match at the Loftus Versfeld stadium in Pretoria.
