Diego Maradona has been returned to hospital, less than a week after discharging himself followig treatment for respiratory and heart problems.
The 43-year-old was due to fly to Cuba to resume treatment for cocaine addiction, but he returned to hospital early on Wednesday, accompanied by his doctor.
Maradona was first taken ill with a swollen heart on 18 April after watching former team Boca Juniors play.
On his release from hospital, Maradona gave a television interview in which he said he “was dying” but that fans had called him back to life.
