American striker Brian McBride will return to the American MLS in time for the new season according to MLS deputy commissioner Ivan Gazidis.
The striker, who has scored 4 goals in 6 games for David Moyes’ Everton, has decided to move back to the US in order to help his team Columbus Crew win the MLS title.
Moyes was hoping to make McBride’s loan move a permanent one after his sensational impact at Goodison.
Gazidis insists though, that McBride will be back in America before the start of the MLS season.
“We spoke to Brian, and while he is open-minded about a move to England, he has expressed to us how happy he is in Columbus with the Crew and how committed he is in trying to win the MLS in 2003,” revealed Gazidis.
