Argentina have left Lionel Messi out of their side to play Ivory Coast on Saturday.
Barcelona playmaker Messi has been left out as he struggles to regain full fitness after a lay-off stretching back to March.
Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze, who missed most of the domestic season through injury, is named in the starting XI and he is expected to partner Roberto Ayala in the centre of the defence.
Villarrea’s Juan Riquelme has been given the number ten shirt and he will be Argentina’s playmaker.
Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo will start in attack alongside Sevilla’s Javier Saviola.
