Milan coach Leonardo has confirmed his interest in signing Real Madrid’s Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Huntelaar has also been mentioned as a target after the Dutchman optes to turn down a move to Stuttgart, while Tottenham and Arsenal are also thought to be tracking the former Ajax forward.

Leonardo told Italian media: “If we find the chance to invest, Huntelaar is a player we would consider.”

The newly-appointed coach also confirmed that he wants to increase the size of Milan’s squad before the season starts.

“We need a bigger group. We have players like Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattusoand Marco Borriello who are coming back after injuries and they need to regain fitness gradually.”
