Nourredine Naybet has remained coy over his proposed move to Tottenham but his club Deportivo La Coruna admit the transfer is all but complete.
Spurs are believed to have agreed a fee in the region of 1m Euros for Deportivo La Coruna defender Nourredine Naybet.
The 34-year-old is expected to arrive in London on Wednesday to undergo a medical.
The Morocco international confirmed he was in discussions with the Premier Leaguie club but denied that a deal had been agreed.
“I am very happy for the interest of this club (Tottenham) who are one of the biggest in England,” he La Voz de Galicia.
“It (to play in English football) is a dream for anyone. After eight years here, to end my career at Tottenham would be phenomenal.
“But I say again that I have a contract with Deportivo and I will keep carrying on as normal.
“Of course it is certain they (Tottenham) are talking to the club. They have been interested in me for a month and it has come out in the English press.
“But all I’m hoping for now is to have a good season. Nothing more, because at the moment I am still under contract with Deportivo.”
