Spain’s Football Federation has ordered Barcelona’s Nou Camp to be closed for two games following last months crowd unrest during the league match against Real Madrid.
The federation gave no indication when closure will be implemented but in all likelihood, they will serve the ban next year.
Last month’s fiery clash with arch-rivals Real Madrid was match was held up for 15 minutes after fans pelted former Barcellona player Luis Figo with missiles.
Barcelona, who have the right to appeal against the ban, were also fined £2700 for the behaviourof their supporters.
Barcelona president Joan Gaspart, who accused Figo of provoking the fans as he prepared to take a corner kick, is to be investogated by the federation for his remarks.
