Former Yugoslav international Momcilo Vukotic has been appointed coach coach of Greek side PAOK, the club said on Friday.

The Serb replaces Ile Dumitrescu, who resigned earlier this month after joining PAOK in February.

“I know very well that I will be a member of a huge club and that is the reason why I will give my best to help the club succeed in all the targets that have been set since the beginning of this period,” he said.

“PAOK is a great challenge for me and I would like to ask the support of our fans.

“I haven’t seen my new team play in this championship, but I am quite sure that we will have a victorious start.”

Vukotic coached Greek side Panionios in the early 1990s and more recently was in charge of the Cyprus national team.
