Tottenham will be looking for their first ever victory against champions Chelsea in the Premiership at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Tottenham may be without Anthony Gardner and Teemu Tainio for the fixture but Ledley King, Noe Pamarot, Sean Davis and Wayne Routledge are ruled out. Spurs could go top if they beat Chelsea for the first time in 18 years.

Martin Jol’s side has not lost a League game at home since Chelsea defeated them in January. Spurs are aiming to keep four consecutive clean sheets from the start of a top flight season for the first time.

League leaders Chelsea are expected to make changes to the side that beat West Brom 4-0 in midweek with Damien Duff and Arjen Robben set to start. Chelsea have won their first three games and kept three clean sheets in the process. The Blues are looking to add to their 33 matches unbeaten run in the League whilst going for a 16th away fixture without loss.

Newcastle United manager Graeme Souness will be looking for his first win of the season against Manchester United at St James’ Park on Sunday.

The Magpies have collected just one point in three matches this season and currently languish in 18th place. Souness may give Albert Luque his debut should the Spanish international complete his move. Kieron Dyer and Emre should feature but Titus Bramble, Craig Moore and Michael Chopra are out.

Manchester United welcome back Mikael Silvestre and John O’Shea but Louis Saha, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Gary Neville are out. Newcastle have won only one of the last 13 Premiership games and claimed victory against Man Utd only once in 11 League and Cup matches.

Stuart Pearce will be looking to extend his 11 match unbeaten run in the League as his Manchester City side host Portsmouth at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Pearce is expected to replace Stephen Jordan, after his poor display against Sunderland on Tuesday, with Nedum Onouha being recalled. Captain Sylvain Distin and former England international Robbie Fowler are out.

Portsmouth could recall Matt Taylor and give Svetoslav Todorov his first game for 18 months after recovering from injury. Man City are currently enjoying their best run in two decades and could achieve their best start to a top flight campaign if they get a result against Pompey. Portsmouth have not won in six Premiership games and have lost 10 of the last 11 away games.

Middlesbrough will be aiming to build on the 3-0 victory at Birmingham on Tuesday against Charlton at the Riverside Stadium. New signing Emanuel Pogatetz is expected to feature for the first time with defenders Chris Riggott, Stuart Parnaby and Tony McMahon all ruled out with injuries.

Charlton include Jonathon Spector in the squad and could make his debut. Darren Ambrose and Gonzalo Sorondo are still suspended. Matt Holland is a doubt for the game and Talal El Karkouri is not fully fit. The last five meetings between these sides have resulted in draws. Charlton are looking for their third win in a row.

West Ham host Bolton at Upton Park on Saturday as they look to maintain their impressive start to the season. The Hammers who have collected four points from two games, will be boosted by the loan-signing striker Jeremie Aliadiere from Arsenal. Former Man Utd goalkeeper Roy Carroll is expected to start with Paul Konchesky recalled after his red card was overturned.

Bolton are missing Radhi Jaidi and the suspended Bruno N’Gotty as they travel to East London. West Ham have never been beaten in the Premiership by Bolton.

West Brom will make a number of changes for the derby against Birmingham City at the Hawthorns. Zolton Gera and Ronnie Wallwork are available for the game with former City player Geoff Horsfield and Steve Watson in line for recalls.

Birmingham manager Steve Bruce has Damien Johnson available after a four game suspension.

The Baggies are aiming for a third consecutive home League victory. WBA have won four of the last six at the Hawthorns, and have lost only one of the last 10.

Fulham take on Everton at Craven Cottage as they look to claim their first victory of the season. The home side are expected to name an unchanged side despite the 4-1 loss to Arsenal on Wednesday. Carlos Bocanegra could return to the squad but long-term injury victims Alain Goma, Sylvain Legwinski, Ian Pearce and Mark Pembridge are out. Everton are looking to recover from Champions League elimination but with victory but will be missing Alessandro Pistone for the trip. Victory against the Merseysiders will give Fulham a 100 point total since the appointment of Chris Coleman as manager. Everton have not won a point in six visits to Fulham.

Aston Villa will do battle with Blackburn Rovers at Villa Park on Saturday. Villa have yet to win three points this season and take on the side with the worst disciplinary problems in the Premiership. Villa will give a debut to new signing Milan Baros but influential midfielder Nolberto Solano is suspended.

Blackburn are without Lucas Neill and Paul Dickov due to suspensions. Craig Bellamy has a thigh injury and Andy Todd is a doubt for the clash. Villa have won three of the last four home Premier League fixtures against Rovers. Blackburn are without a victory in six League matches on the road.

Wigan take on Sunderland in the bottom of the table clash at the JJB Stadium. Wigan may hand a debut to new signing Josip Skoko after he received a work permit. Henri Camara, Emerson Thome and John Filan are all ruled out with injury.

Sunderland will be missing Stephen Wright, Colin Healy and Kevin Kyle but new signing Christian Bassila is set to make his debut. Wigan have not collected a point yet in their opening two games in which they have failed to score. Sunderland have lost 18 top flight games in a row and have not recorded a win in 23 Premiership games. The Black cats have lost all three games this season without scoring.
