Real Madrid have decided to abandon an attempt to sign Inter’s Brazilian striker Ronaldo.

The two clubs have been locked in talks for the last 48 hours, but Real have now finally pulled the plug on the transfer.

“There are unsolvable differences with Inter for the purchasing of Ronaldo,” read a Real statement.

“After frank and friendly discussions this morning, it has been made clear that it is an impossibility to reach a satisfactory agreement.

“For this reason both clubs have finished negotiations.”
