Jose Antonio Reyes admits he is pleased by the start he has made to his first full season at Arsenal and delghted to have been called up by Spain.
Reyes’ impressive club form has seen him earn a recall to the Spanish national team under new boss Luis Aragones.
“I believe the difficult thing is not starting the season well, but keeping that good level during the season,” he told Marca.
“If you lose form, everything before counts for nothing.
“In England I have become a bit stronger as a player. That’s normal as the game is not the same as in Spain, and you have to adapt as quickly as possible.
“We finished last season well and have started equally as well this time.
“We hope our unbeaten run continues this season for many weeks more.”
Reyes star also admitted that he was relieved to have been recalled to the Spanish squad, after the disappointment of being omitted from Inaki Saez’s Euro 2004 squad.
“It is always a joy when they call you up for the national team again,” he added.
“That they have remembered me is very good.
“It’s always nice when a coach speaks highly of you, and even more when it is a coach like Luis.
“I know what I have to demonstrate now, I must prove his faith in me is correct.”
