Bayern Munich’s French Franck Ribery has dismissed claims that he wants to leave the club for Real Madrid.

Reports in France quoted the midfielder as saying he wanted to join big-spending Real this summer.

Bayern Munich are determined to retain the 26-year-old and Ribery insists he is happy to stay at the Allianz Arena.

“I feel misunderstood, I never said I desperately want a transfer to happen, “Ribery told tz.

“They were not my words and I don’t understand the public discussion that has occurred.

“I do not want to be in disagreement with Bayern Munich. I would really like to resolve things.

“We do have to wait if there is an offer coming and then sit down and talk. I do not want to say anything wrong right now.”
