Arjen Robben is confident that the injury he picked up at the weekend will not prevent him playing for Holland at this summer’s EURO 2004 finals.

Robben limped off during PSV Eindhoven’s win over Groningen at the weekend ust 17 ,inutes into his comeback game following a month out with a hamstrimg injury.

Scans have confirmed a new hamstring injury, which will keep the 20-year-old out for another four weeks. However, Robben, who will join Chelsea next season, insists he will be fit for the EURO 2004 finals.

“Euro 2004 will start in six weeks,” Robben told PSV’s website.

“I’m sure I’ll be fit again by then.”

PSV boss Guss Hiddink denied he had brought the player back too quickly.

“He trained at top pace last week,” said Hiddink.

“It seemed completely responsible to let him play again.”
