It’s now emerged that leading fancy Roberto Mancini was in-fact sacked by his former club Inter Milan. See the betting & our thoughts on the vacancy.

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he will make an announcement on his future in the next ‘two to three days’.

Ronaldo has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks although United insist the Portuguese international is going nowhere.

United have threatened to report the Spanish champions to Fifa over what they claim are attempts to unsettle Ronaldo, who was inspirational in United’s Premier League and Champions League double success.

The 23-year-old has now confirmed that he will clarify his position in the next few days.

Ronaldo told A Bola: “Let’s see, I hope there will be news soon.

“In two to three days I will announce my decision.”

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has already stated that Ronaldo is staying at Old Trafford and he has received the backing of the club’s owners in his desire to retain the player.

“The thing people miss the point about is that I’ve had a couple of meetings with the Glazers,” he revealed. “Their attitude is ‘to hell with them [Real]’. They would sit a player in the stand. There’s absolutely no doubt about it. They’d do it just to prove a point and not to give in to these people. They’ve got balls, I can tell you. I’ve been delighted with them in that respect.”
