Getafe manager Bernd Schuster claims he is in the running to become the next coach at Real Madrid.
The German, a former player at Real, is currently manager of Marid-based club Getafe.
Getafe currently sit ninth in La Liga and still have an outside chance of earning a European place.
The German believes he is a contender for the Real hot seat.
“I’m allowing myself now to think about my personal interests,” he told Kicker.
“I feel good at Getafe, but I know I’m a candidate to be Real Madrid manager, it’s an honour.
“However, it will be very difficult to get that post.”
