Sedan have fired coach Serge Romano after a poor start to the seasons.
The weekend’s 3-1 defeat to Bordeaux which left the club second from bottom, with just eight points from 11 matches, turned out to be the final nail in Romano’s coffin .
“I was expecting it,” conceded Romano.
“But I feel a little bitterness and rage. That is logical.
“I am angry, not because I have been fired, but because some players haven’t helped me.
“A group has to trust you, and when they stop, you can’t do anything.
“A number of players declared they couldn’t understand my tactics.
“The new players, that have joined the club this summer, didn’t want to question themselves.”
Sedan confirmed that assistant coach Jose Pasqualetti will take charge of the team for the time being.
