Andrei Shevchenko has ended speculation about a possible move to Chelsea, by signing a new contract which will keep him at Milan until 2009.
There was growing speculation that the Ukrainian striker was set foor a move to Stamford Bridge but the new deal effectively ties Shevchenko to the Rossoneri for the remainder of his playing career.
The former Dynamo Kyiv striker was the leading scorer in Serie A last season, scoring 24 goals in Milan’s title-winning team.
