Milan defender Jaap Stam has given the reasons for opting to move to Ajax in the summer.
The former Dutch international is returning to his homeland due to family commitments.
”I want to end the season here and give my support,” said Stam.
”There are a few months left and I want to help my team-mates win. I have parents who don’t feel good and I want to be closer to them.
”I’m happy Milan gave me this possibility. They asked me also if I wanted to stay for another year.
”Anyway, I want to confirm that I always felt well at Milan and that the reason for my choice is exclusively bound to my family.”
