Torino could receive a lengthy stadium ban after their fans caused the abandonment of lasst weekend’s match against Milan.
Reports in Italy say the club will receive a five-match ban as their punishment and the three points will also be handed to Milan.
Trouble began with Milan leading 3-0, when Torino supporters ripped up seats and hurled them at police who were forced to use tear gas to repe the atttack. The fans then tore down fencing and tried to invade the pitch only to be forced back by police wielding batons and shields.
Referee Luca Palanca brought the game to a halt after 63 minutes. The players were led off the pitch and waited for the police to make a decision on whether the game could continue. However, with the violence showing no sign of abating, the game was abandoned.
