Fernando Torres has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from Atletico Madrid, claiming he is committed to the club.
Atletico president Enrique Cerezo stated earlier in the week that Torres had his price, and that the club would consider bids for the striker should they arrive.
Atletico had always previously insisted they would not consider selling him, but following the president’s remarks, a move can no longer be discounted.
“We are all on it (the market), but there are no problems with these comments from Enrique (Cerezo),” Torres declared.
“He is a friend and will have his reasons for having made them, they certainly don’t bother me.”
However, he admits that Cerezo’s comments have not helped the mood at the club in what has been another disappointing season for Atletico.
“Yes, they could be seen as unfortunate, especially ahead of the game with Zaragoza when we are trying to find a little bit of stability,” he added.
“Something always seems to come along to disturb us just when things are working out.”
