Roma captain Francesco Totti has denied he is interested in moving to Ream Madrid, stating he is happy with life in the Italian capital.

Speculation has been rife that Totti was being lined up as a replacement for Ronaldo who has been linked with a returnn to Inter.

However, Totti insists he is staying with Roma.

“Real ? I’m staying at Roma, nothing else,” he blasted.

“Now I feel good here and I’ve a contract until 2006.”

“We are five pointsÊfrom from Milan and we will try to take advantage from their mistakes.

“Let’s hope they will make efforts in the Champions League. They can’t maintain this rhythm until the end.”

Real sporting director Jorge Valdano also confirmed that they had not made a move for Totti.

“I’ve never spoken with Totti and Real have never made an offer to him,” Valdano stated.

“I can only talk positively of Totti’s talent, but in this moment I don’t think Real could be interested in a player with his characteristics as we are already covered in that role with important players.”
