Nigerian defender Ifeanyi Udeze has revealed he wants to leave PAOK Salonika after being attacked at knifepoint on Sunday night.
A club spokesman said the 25-year-old was attacked by four fans after PAOK’s defeat by Olympiakos.
“We had a bad match against Olympiakos with some trouble with the supporters,” said the spokesman.
“Ifeanyi was attacked and threatened with a knife. His car was damaged but he was not hurt.
“But he has said he no longer wishes to play for the club.”
Sunday’s match was halted towards the end when a section of seating was set on fire by PAOK fans.
