UEFA are to use Gelsenkirchen’s Arena AufSchalke stadium in Germany for Besiktas’ Champions League match against Chelsea on December 9.
However, the decision is pending the outcome of the Turkish side’s appeal against the Group G match being moved away from Istanbul.
The Besiktas-Chelsea fixture was one of three matches moved from Turkey to neutral venues after two bomb attacks in Istanbul in which a total of 61 people were killed and more than 700 wounded.
Besiktas and the Turkish Football Federation have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which said it would make a decision on Wednesday.
Chelsea are already through to the last 16, while Besiktas need a win to be sure of joining them in the knockout stages.
UEFA also annonced that the UEFA Cup second round, second leg match between Maccabi Haifa and Valencia will be played in Rotterdam’s Sparta Stadium on December 11.
The other game affected – Galatasaray’s Champions League match against Juventus – will be played tonight in Dortmund.
