Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron must still face charges over allegations concerning his acquisition of a false Italian passport.

A Rome court today ordered a hearing on December 12 for not only Veron but various officials of his former club, Lazio, including Sergio Cragnotti, the Rome club’s owner.

Cragnotti had been charged separately but today a judge ruled that his case should be linked with those of Veron, two Lazio directors, two agents, two Argentine legal advisers and one local council official.
