Unsettled striker Christian Vieri is expected to end his spell with Milan nightmare by joining French first division side Monaco.
The transfer should be completed in the next few days after the clubs agreed terms.
The 32-year-old Italy international has scored just two goals in six months for Milan, although much of that time he has spent on the substitutes bench.
“We have agreed everything with Monaco,” Milan’s vice president Adriano Galliani told Italian news agency ANSA.
“The deal is not yet closed, but we’re almost there.”
Vieri, who spent six seasons with Inter before his switch to Milan, is concerned about making Italy’s World Cup squad unless he is playing regularly.
