Holland have appointed former international midfield player Jan Wouters to their EURO 2004 coaching team.
The 43-year-old, who is currently working as an assistant to Rangers manager Alex McLeish, turned down an initial approach of a full-time job from the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) but agreed to help out after a deal was struck covering this summer’s tournament.
The KNVB reportedly approached Ruud Gullit, Marco van Basten and Johan Neeskens, all of whom turned down their offer, before returning to Wouters.
