Big spending Manchester City only finished 10th last season but are being well supported to finish in the top 4 after flashing the cash this summer.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent has denied reports that Manchester United have made a bid for the Inter forward.

Reports last week suggested United considering a move for the Sweden international as they look to strengthen their attacking options following the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez.

Ibrahimovic’s future at Inter has been the subject of constant speculation all summer, with the player hinting he could be ready for a new challenge having claimed Chelsea were interested in signing him

However, his representative, Mino Raiola, insists there has been no interest from United.

“There is absolutely no truth that Manchester United have bid for Zlatan,” Raiola told skysports.com.

“If they did bid they did without me knowing and without Inter knowing.

“Zlatan is calm, he has a four-year contract at Inter. He is happy at Inter and is not thinking of moving.”

Ibrahimovic has earlier revealed that Chelsea had enquired about his availability.

“I am fully aware that Chelsea want to sign me and, of course, it is very flattering,” Ibrahimovic told the News of the World.

“They are one of the biggest teams in Europe and the Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world.

“Money is not the most important thing, I will base my decision on what’s good for me, what suits me.”

“It is about asking: will I still be able to be special in the league that I am going to, to the team that I am going to?

“Are my qualities right for the Premier League or not?”
