Victor Lindelof

Benfica

Primarily a stopper, though also capable of slotting in at right-back or as a ball-winner in front of the defence, the uncompromising Swede – who started in all three of his country’s games at Euro 2016 – has a long list of admirers in Milan, Internazionale, Juventus, Napoli, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Contractually tied to Benfica until 2020, the 22-year-old insists he is content at the Estadio da Luz and is in no hurry to leave for a more prestigious championship. But with so many clubs apparently willing to trigger his €30million release clause, his future could swing either way. Heads: a new and improved deal with the Eagles; tails: the exit.

He only cost Benfica €60,000 when signed from boyhood side FK Vasteras back in January 2012.
