Can Man City emulate Tottenham’s achievement last campaign and break into the Top Four? Tom Powell previews the contenders.

Barcelona board spokesman Toni Freixa has complained that Arsenal are unwilling to discuss the transfer of Cesc Fabregas.

The Gunners skipper has been linked with a return to Barca this summer, and the Primera Division champions have already seen a reported €35million offer turned down by the London club.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he intends to keep Fabregas at the club.

Barca have stated they will continue to try and sign Fabregas, who has five years left on his current contract, but the Gunners will not enter into talks.

“Arsenal don’t want to sit down and negotiate with us,” Freixa told reporters on Monday evening.

“It’s not a problem with the wishes of Cesc or of Barca – they simply don’t want to negotiate.”

Meanwhile, Freixa also confirmed that the club are looking for a holding midfielder following the departure of Yaya Toure to Manchester City.

“The technical secretary is working hard on that,” Freixa said.
