Bayer Leverkusen executive manager Reiner Calmund has threatened to dock the wages of his players after Saturday’s dire performance against struggling EintrachtÊFrankfurt.

Bayerwent lost 2-1 at home to Frankfurt – a performance that undermined their push for a Champions League spot and left Calmund furious.

“We can’t talk about the top part of the table any more,” he fumed.

“The way we played we looked like a certainty for relegation. It was awful.”

. “I’m not prepared to pay international salaries if we don’t have the appropriate money coming in.

“It’s not just a question of finances, but of morals and honour.”

“Some players look like they couldn’t care, whilst others played with arrogance.”
