Real Betis have reached a deal to sign Brazilian-born Turkey midfielder Mehmet Aurelio who was out of contract with Fenerbahce.
The 30-year-old, who impressed for Turkey at Euro 2008, will undergo a medical on Thursday before completing the move, Betis confirmed on their website.
Spanish media reported he would sign a three-year deal, and he will become the Seville-based club’s first new signing of the close season.
Aurelio joined Fenerbahce from Trabzonspor in 2003 and helped them to three league titles.
