Manchester City have completed the signing of Fiorentina striker Valeri Bojinov.
The Bulgarian, who spent last season on-loan at Juventus, arrives at Eastlands on a four-year deal – subject to a work permit.
City chief executive Alistair Mackintosh believes this latest capture is due to Sven Goran Eriksson’s appeal.
“Our signing of Valeri is another sign of the impact made by Dr Thaksin and Sven-Goran Eriksson,” he told the club’s official website.
“Valeri is an exciting young player and a great addition to the squad.”
