Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has once again ruled out the possibility of selling Edinson Cavani at the end of the season.

The Uruguay international scored a hat-trick in the Partenopei’s 4-3 comeback victory over Lazio in Serie A on Sunday afternoon that saw them close the gap on leaders Milan to three points.

Cavani joined Napoli from Palermo last summer and having scored 25 Serie A goals this season he has been linked with a move away from the club.

De Laurentiis was quoted by Sky Sports as saying: “How much is Cavani worth? Cavani is priceless. He is not for sale. I wouldn’t sell him for €100 million.

“For now his mission is to fight for the colours of Napoli. If I say he is worth a lot, hopefully people will tire of asking about him.”

De Laurentiis also revealed Inter’s interest in midfielder Marek Hamsik and stated: “Once [Inter patron Massimo] Moratti phoned me to ask about [Marek] Hamsik but I told him that he wasn’t moving and Moratti promised that he would not ask about any more players.”
