Brazilian born playmaker Deco has been called up into the Portugal squad to face Brazil and Macedonia at the endof the month.

The Porto playmaker has been in impressive form for the Portuguese club both domestically and in Europe this season and is set to earn his first cap against his native Brazil on March 29.

Deco has recently gained Portuguese citizenship and new coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has decided to give Deco a chance at international football.

Another potential debutant could be Porto midfielder Maniche, who has formed a great partnership with Deco for the Portuguese league leaders.

Missing are some very familiar names including Porto shot stopper Vitor Baia, Joao Pinto of Sporting, Petit of Boavista, Fulham’s Luis Boa Morte and Marco Caniera of Bordeaux.
