Marco Di Vaio has confirmed that he is keen on amove to Monaco, provided his club Valencia sanction the deal.

Reports have suggested that Monaco are ready to take the Italian striker on loan for the rest of the season, when the transfer window reopens next month.

Di Vaio has become frustrated by his situation at the Mestalla following his move from Juventus in summer 2004.

“My situation is no longer possible and I believe that the leaders of Valencia are arranging to let me go,” said Di Vaio.

“Much has been spoken of my return to Italy, to Parma or to Internazionale, but I do not discard the option of going to Monaco.

“The conversations seem a little complicated, but the operation seems feasible.

“I have been informed of the contacts and the Monaco solution would please me.”
