Milan will be without their Brazil goalkeeper Dida for up to three months after he suffered ligament damage in his left knee.
Dida suffered the injury during Tuesday’s Champions League defeat to AEK Athens.
Milan said on their web site that he was expected to be ruled out for “two to three months, saving complications”.
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti may be tempted to move into the transfer market in January to secure cover for Dida.
