It was first blood to Man City as they take a 2-1 lead to Old Trafford in their Carling Cup Semi-final – How has this changed the outright betting?

Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has spoken of his relief after manager Pep Guardiola decided to extend his contract with the club.

Guardiola’s deal was due to expire at the end of the season and there were fears that he may step down at the end of the current campaign, but he has agreed to stay at Camp Nou until the summer of 2011.

“All the players wanted him to continue, because he has done an excellent job,” Ibrahimovic said.

“We’ll all be much more relaxed with this news.

“I couldn’t believe a club like Barcelona could let a coach like Guardiola get away.”

The 39-year-old tactician has guided the Catalans to an unprecedented six trophies since he took charge of the team in June 2008.

Barca currently lie top of La Liga and are five points above rivals Real Madrid in the title race.
